    Hi all,
As the topic mentions, how does one grab tags in tag rugby without getting injured? At the moment, I'm pulling fingers every few days, and they take over a week to heal :( (the latest being the "ring finger" on my left hand). And heck, this is only during the training! The only thing I can think of is, as I'm tall, and they're usually small, when my hand goes to grab a tag, my hand would be in a downward motion, but what else can I do?

Im quite fast so normally just coast alongside someone at the same speed and there is no problem with sprains etc.

Best technique I can think of is the slap, get AS CLOSE as you can slap your hand flat (not too hard :D) on the tag and then close your fist with tag in hand.

Looking for where the tag meets the shorts...less movement of the tag there.
