Missing social welfare card

    Hi,

    I'm supposed to be collecting my first JSB payment next Wednesday but I've now only realised that my social welfare card has gone missing (have had it for years but never any use for it). It may turn up in the mean time but if I can't find it by Monday what do I do?

    You have to fill out a form at the garda station. At least that is what I was told when I wasn't sure where mine was. Take ID with you and jut explain the situation. I'd pop in at the weekend if possible.

    Go to your sw office where you will be issued with a temporary yellow card (be sure and bring ID with you) and a new sw card will be ordered for you. There is no need to go to your Garda station.
