need wedding dress help from those in the know-you guys!

hey long time reader, first time poster

i'm getting married in august (yeah!) finally after 3 kids together....about time. having an extremly small wedding without any of the trimmings: band/flowers/photographer etc etc.

dont want a 'traditional' wedding gown. dont think i can wear white after 3 kids (joke!). would love a white 50s style/ tea dress or something vintage (or not...am completly open to suggestions).

please help! am in dublin but willing to travel for the most important dress i will ever wear. also importantly have a budget of around 500 yo yo but would be happy days if i could do it for less (more to spend on the shoes!)

Try Hickeys. They have lovely stuff. They seem to do both the proper wedding dress and the more informal styles.

wow thanks for that- love the last website best, you have used them before i take it then and were happy? am loving the circle dresses-do you mind me asking if youve worn these before and what body shape does it suit? i'm only 5 foot 5 and would be size 10 hour glass but with belly issues (after the kids!)

will defo have a look in there! never ever would think of it! there is a big one on henry street as far as i know that has loads in! thanks

eh can you be my personal shopper! gorgeous stuff! thanks so much. some of the dresses a wee bit short for church i think. particularrly loved the alexander mc queen from the outnet, thankoon addition white dress, the green moschino one from net a porter. also after years and years of interweb shopping hadn't come across that browns website! not good for the wallet....

They are amazingly flattering on all shapes, if you are slender they add curves in the right places and if you have any tummy issues they give you a tiny waist, sort of a corset effect due to the boned bodice. I lose about a stone when I put mine on

You will need to buy the petticoat with it but even then it's really affordable. A red or pink petticoat would be stunning with the white lace circle dress imo! The dresses are all hand stitched in London and great quality, especially for the price. I'm 5'3" and the circle dress comes to just above my ankle, enough to show off the shoes!

+1, Love those, also Debenhams Ultimo bridal collection is stunning and around the Š500 mark. Monsoon bridal in Kildare Village would also be quite affordable.
