    Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has done social studies and if so where did you end up working. I'm really interested in the course but am wondering what kind of job opportunities (if any!) could come from it.

hey, I did social care in AIT, and am now working in a womens domestic violence refuge, to be honest there are very few job opportunities at the moment, but by the time you finish things could be different, its a very interesting course--good luck ith your choice!!!

You're in the wrong forum, this thread will probably be moved, but anyway...

I have a B Soc Sc Bachelor of Social Science from UCD. Since graduating I've worked as a care worker (children with special needs namely autism,) in a Youth Club with kids and teens and regular childminding both one to one and in a creche environment. Really interesting field to study in, I don't think there are less job opportunities than any other field of study you could choose. At the very least there will always be plenty of enjoyable voluntary opportunities that can get you great experience and a nice CV. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I wasn't sure which forum to post in so I just thought TLL might help.
