    Hi Guys,

New to posting but i will give it a go, i have a quick question that i hope you may help me with, i am still using my ariel and also my sky box for TV stations, however of the past few weeks i do not have any UK stations during the day and in the late evening they come back over a period of time and by 10 or 11 o'clock i have all my stations back working on the ariel.
Is there anything you can think of which may be causing this, a telephone jammer in the area or something like that.
It is just the UK stations on the ariel, the Irish stations are perfect all the time.

    Thank you for your time,
    Mick

Hi John, thanks for the reply.

I am placed in north county Louth, and the stations were always very good, the uk stations and the irish stations all come through the TV ariel and i can watch them around the house, the sky is only in the front room, i am told i can put the sky around the rest of the house by replacing the ariel feed to the splitter box in the attic with a feed from the ariel out port on the rear of the sky box, however this does not work for me.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mick

That's funny, running a cable from the sky box RF out to the splitter should work fine. Does the splitter need a power supply and does it have its own plug in the attic or does it need a unit somewhere in the house to feed power through a TV cable? (Called a PSU)

The sky box has an aerial in so the aerial can be plugged into that and then you can take the RF output of the sky box and send the 8 channels around the house along with the sky box signal. The sky box output should be changed to Ch. 44 where you live however, that can be done in the special installer menu (services, then press 4, 0 and 1 in quick succession)

Well done! I am fed up of seeing AERIAL misspelt. Why not see what the reception on DTT is with some washing product??
