After a years of using a cafetiere, religiously, every morning I just found moka I bought in Venice about 10 years that I had put away and forgotten about. I gave it a rinse and cooked up a small pot of delicious coffee. Why on earth I put it away I've no idea. Any moka switchers here?

I use both, french press and moka depending on the mood. More Moka in the mornings before work and the french press on the weekends ... both produce excellent coffee and are very cheap.

I've started to use a Moka to see if I like coffee, so far I like what I'm getting but I think I'll need to try a few different types to see if I want to keep going. Any recommendations for a good ground coffee for someone starting out?

I think the Moka is one of man kinds best inventions ever:D.I use mine to make regular coffe by adding hot water to the espresso and Cappuchinos using a Bodum plunger.
I was a Lavazza Rossa man for a long time, now using Tesco own brand ground Espreeso 2.70 a bag.,just use less powder than the Rossa as it is alot darker.
Found Robt. Roberts espresso not bad either.
