Saris Cycle Glide in Ireland

Hiya,

Just found out I'm not going to be able to keep my bikes under the stairs of my apartment building in future, so I'm looking for a good storage solution for inside the apartment. I was looking at the Saris Cycle Glide, which allows you to hang them from the roof...

I can find it for a good price on eBay and Amazon, but only in the US, and I don't want to be stung with the import duties. Anyone know of any dealers in Europe?

Or just buy two of these per bike and stick them into the beams, hang them upside down by the wheels. few quid, job done....

Holy carp, for that I'll hang your bikes up every night for you. Just get the hooks, large plastic coated ones are €5 each!

TBW, I was originally intending to do that, but being able to slide the bikes up right up next to each other and then move them back out again seems a big advantage with the glide, just makes it look tidier in a small space. Agreed $300 would be a bit over the top, but you can get them for just over $200 on Amazon...

Yes, I'd had a look at CRC, but they don't seem to have the specific product on the site. I've mailed them to check.

I did manage to track it down at North East Roof Racks for £180, plus £16 shipping to Ireland, so that's pretty good. I may buy that one if I don't hear back from CRC within the next few days...

Just to make you feel bad, I saw two bike hooks for sale in Halfords for €5....

But I'd need 8 hooks, so the savings would only be €196 ;-)

Seriously though, convincing the better half this yolk will let me store them all in 72 cubic feet is the only way I can get them into the apartment. Other than that I'm looking at keeping them outside, and I couldn't do that to my babies.
