So i came across a job which will be good for the summer on the fas site so i sent them an email with my cv and what not. But it wasn't until after i sent the email that i read applications in writing. I still have a couple more days left to apply so would it be worth sending off a second application in the post? Or have I screwed this up?

If you don't send a written application you have screwed it up. :)

Not being funny, but why didn't you read the ad properly?

Always read, re-read and take notes if you need to. If the job spec is particularly lengthy, I find it helps if I take a print out of the ad, and make my own notes on it. Call the advertiser if you can and get more info.

That being said, I suppose it can't do any harm if you send a supplementary application, and just put a cover note asking them to disregard the original...
