Homura created the power manifest in Madoka; was not expecting that.

And with that power, Madoka's wish basically gave every magical girl a peaceful death, then created a new universe where witches don't exist -- but Homura must keep on fighting?

It was alright. It sort of irritates me the way
Everybody was left not knowing who Madoka was after all she done. Especially the scene with her mother and little bro vaguely remembering her name. The scene with Tatsuya drawing her in the sand was pretty sad

Just finished watching it myself.
Madoka is far too nice, sacrificing herself to help all the magical girls was certainly emotional, the last 3 episodes was a bit confusing when it was explaining Homura's time traveling

Just marathoned the whole thing. Wow, that was incredible. 10 out of 10, best thing I've seen in ages, in my top 5 of all time without a doubt.
I loved the last few episodes, I kept drawing parallels with
Higurashi and Umineko, especially Rika's struggle. Gotta love time loops
As for the very end, it was nice, but not completely happy, which I think is good. It wouldn't have been convincing to have a perfectly optimistic ending given the series as a whole.

And Homura is obviously the best. How can you even try to argue otherwise?
