Ive given up all hope of trying to find a tread relating to this topic on boards so im making my own ha ha .

Ive had my ipod for good few years. now. Ipod classic 80gb. Its been contected to the same computer numberous amounts of times each time the computer has been reset.

I have always created my own tracks and uploaded them to itunes mobile , other mp3. each always working. now i recently reset my computer and previous to that my ipod refused to connect and respond asking to be re formatted everytime. i finnaly got the chance to connect it to itunes and restore it. but now my tracks are playing but only for about 10 seconds and others skip. this has never happened before. and the same track works on itunes. and every other device. tracks that played upto last year refuse to now. anyone know how to solve please. its killing me cause their good songs.

Something similar happened my ipod nano recently, with songs pausing and restarting. Tried restoring the ipod's factory settings through Itunes but that didn't work.

Then tried reformatting the ipod through "My Computer" option on the PC. This takes a while because of the size of the disk in the ipod. The good news is that when I relaunched Itunes and resynchronised the ipod the result was an ipod playing every song perfectly with no gaps or pauses.

    Might be worth a try

Anyone having this kind or problem . here is one solution you can try it worked for me tonight.

For me it was only some tracks skipping not whole albums. heres what i done

I noticed all the songs that were broken were 128kbps or simply MP3

    Apple likes to uses ACC.

So the ones that were broken i right clicked and converted to Acc. Now all the songs that were once broken are now working perfectly and i still have the Mp3 version so i can use it on other media devices as not all support Acc.

I hope this works for you too. Im over the moon. :D
