The Sony Centre - Sony Ireland/UK/Europe

Some regular CI posters may recall my post WAY back in January regarding a faulty laptop bought from the Sony Centre in Waterford by my boyfriend as a Christmas present for me.

It is now nearly 6 months since the laptop was reported faulty and the matter hasn't progressed at all.

The refund was authorised by Sony in February but the Sony Centre have still not refunded my boyfriend's money. The latest storyline of the Sony Centre is that the refund may have been issued in February but they never received the paperwork. Why didn't they tell my boyfriend this? Instead my boyfriend went in and out of their shop at least once a week only to be told each time it would only be another x days.

The Sony Centre have been completely unhelpful on the matter. The manager refusing to address the issue in the absence of a junior member of staff who was on holidays. They left us without any update whatsoever for nearly 2 months.

I have been dealing with a <SNIP> in Sony Ireland and the Sony Centre have allegedly been dealing with a <SNIP> in Sony. These two people who work for the same company, Sony Ireland, seem incapable of communicating with each other.

Everyone seems to be blaming Sony UK and Sony Europe for the delays eventhough they would appear to have carried out their side of things and authorised the refund.

Are there any Sony reps on boards who might be able to help or investigate or do something/anything?
    Failed to load the poll.
