Ok, I hope I've done this right. I know the race is over, but I wanted to see what everyone who entered thought of it, and how it compares to other events

This is my third time running this race, eventhough it is pretty expensive for what you get, (my 'new' wife's family always spend this weekend down here, so I run it).

It's a tough race I find, and was very hot this year. They still have really cool medals and great massage after the race. But I can't believe they are still using cups of water....a lot of it was going up my nose!! Bottles please.

The locals and the views probably make this race really, if it was somewhere else, I'm not sure I'd be bothered.

Would like to see how this 'polls' against other races.

Without a doubt the scenery makes this race and I never tire of the views. The locals are great, extremely supportive and loud. There was even some young kids offering pieces of their easter eggs to the runners :)

I totally agree with your comment about the water though - bottles are a necessity at this stage. It was very warm this year and I also found it quite windy and as usual the hills were quite demanding!

Overall though, I like it. It was my first half marathon a few years ago though so I probably have a soft spot for it :D

I wouldn't have been able to take their Easter Eggs:)

Pity, I thought there would be more people here that ran it to give a rating. :(
