Paint robbers

My shed got robbed with my paint in it - all ready to go with 4 days off work booked for painting my bedroom & bathroom.:mad: I had Dulux pink and gray so now I have to replace them and the brushes /rollers. They left a strimmer, bbq lamp and loads of gardening equipment behind? Rougue interior decorators :)

Can anyone reccommend me a brand thats cheap and good? And somewhere I can find cheap rollers that wont fall apart? I saw a paint magic corner ad on tv....has anyone used one yet? Im not great on straight lines and that thing makes it look easy!

The house is very cottagey - bed room was a very boring cappuccino colour and Im bored to the back teeth looking at it. I just finished the sitting room (showing off attrached!) and the bedroom is pretty much the same size and shape. Not huge, but more than enough for one person to cope with.

So, I need a good paint thats not going to break my already tired pockets and a few tips on painting! Then Im ready to roll! :D

    Thank you!

Sorry to hear about burglary...wouldn't you love to catch the F****** at this kind crime?!!

Don't waste any more money on gimmicks..which that Magic yoke will almost definetly be. Buy a medium sized decent brush and you will be able to cut in properly with a little care...buy one and care for it, washing it carefully when finished and you will get many many uses of it. You need one that will hold it's shape and it's edge. Same goes with the roller. They are not that dear when you consider what they do imo. Bad tools will make for a bad job ...it is as simple as that, I'm afraid.
As for paint, there is cheaper alternatives which in the main, will be light on covering and won't do any damage. You just have to weigh up the time factor in getting an equivalent finish. Johnstones, Leyland, McPherson, Crown etc would begood enough paints and can vary a lot in price.
    Hope that helps.

Try this place, most painters use them, very reasonable and staff are great ( Swords branch)
