I was just wondering what shoes a 17 year old lad should wear going out at the weekend? (don't get out much!)- I usually just wear a t-shirt and black jeans when I go out- thanks;)

I don't know many places that would let you in wearing shoes like that. If you had to wear runners you'd better going for something a little less glaringly white and obvious and more understand, and slightly more formal. This are probably the most casual you'd get away with and even then you could be refused for wearing runners.



The jeans and shirt combo sounds good though.

I have never once been stopped wearing any of the above.

I also have never worn shoes on a night out

I'd stay away from anything too white though, they can look a bit scum baggy...

An alternative to the all-out white runners are usually Vans. They come in a ton of different styles so they can be pretty versatile. They look good on guys in both jeans and shorts for the summer. Converse can also be good for a night out with jeans.
You can get turned away from a club with the regular white runners.
