Eterna Monterey butterfly Clasp Minor Repair Query

    Hi there,

I'm just seeking advice regarding getting this repaired without forking out too much. I do have the 'Guarantee and Service Passport' but I'm based in Cork and the nearest Eterna service centre is in Dublin. It's stainless steel and it looks as though a simple soldering could do the job. (I wouldn't be able to do this, btw) Would this be advisable? If not, would I be looking at replacing the part (where could I get it?)? Please see the pictures of the damage to the clasp.

Any help with this would be great.

    Thanks.

I'd reckon soldering a part that small is gonna be a nightmare Lemag. If even doable?

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

solder wont fix that, new clasp is the way forward.
they might send you a clasp if you give them the case number and have someone in cork fit it for you? or send it using registered post to them,

Direct from Eterna or the service centre in Dublin?

Would this be likely to be more cost effective than your latter suggestion?

well it shouldnt be expensive to have somebody fit that for you,

anyone that sells eterna should be able to get that clasp for you or send it away for you,
