Question about free fees

    Hi there,

I'm applying for a masters in Ucd, currently living in county mayo and have been here since last october. I've been unemployed for most of last year so believe I will be eligible for the free fees and grant but I'm considering moving to Dublin in the next few weeks to look for work as I'm bored out of my arse here and if I do get the masters offer I'd like to have a part-time job going in good time. My question is if I move early before applying to Mayo county council for grant & free fees will I be ineligible to apply to them if I am living in Dublin? And would Dublin county council deem me ineligible because I haven't been living in dublin since last oct?

    Thanks for any help.

It depends. I don't fully know the answer but are you living with your parents in Mayo? This is important because then the grant application may be assessed on your parents income. Also when did you finish your undergrad?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
