I hate to say it, but I do agree with the "gold digger" thing. Its amazing how many women will 'sell out' and 'settle' for a guy 'less hot' than themselves, just because he's rich/powerful/has 'status'. (This obviously does not include'hot girls who genuinely fall for an ugly guy and his personality aha).

I'm only 20 and I'm already seeing this amonst my friends. The "well he has a car" kind of attitude. I know a bunch of guys who are in the Student Union of a certain university. None of them could pass for good-looking but they have girls throwing themselves at them.

While I'm writing this, I'm thinking that its actually more so the "status" that girls go for, as opposed to money. Money just (usually, not always) comes along with that. Guys who have social status (and not necessarily money) will also get girls.

In response to the people who say women can dress themselves up, that's true, to an extent. But doesn't 'looking after herself' constitiute being good looking if you really think about it? I mean, if a girl doesn't have a 'perfect' face but has an awesome body, is tall and slim, dresses well, has nice hair, etc, then she IS (probably) good-looking. Guys tend to let themselves go a bit more. There is less pressue on them to look good (in general).

I couldn't personally go for a guy who I didn't fancy but for some girls, "ugly + money = handsome!" (can't remember where I stole that from!). This 'power' genuinely makes him 'attractive'.
