Wondering if any boardsies are planning on doing it?
Sunday 15th May at 9.30 leaving from the Athlone Institute of Technology. 146k and 65k route options

Will be my first sportif and am really looking forward to it. Looks reasonably flat still not great on the climbs but I'm learning to enjoy the suffering a bit :)

    Nobody Interested?
It's only an hour from Dublin and the Shannonsiders are a great bunch of lads. Only joined the club this year and and have improved so much as its so enjoyable to head out with them. Even started doing their Interclub League which I hadn't a notion of doing at the start of the year.

    Ryath,
I hope to do the short spin with one other boardsie this Sunday as long as I can get my hands on a replacement rear wheel. I did the Tour of Sligo 100km last Sunday but I'm not ready for 146km yet so we'll be doing the 65km.

If you managed 100k in Sligo which by all accounts was a hard day at the office you should be able to manage the 146k. Wind will be nothing like Sunday and while there is a few hills they're nothing like the two big climbs in sligo. Haven't been beyond 100k myself this year and I've no fears of doing this.
