As i havn't studied equities in a while (forex only for past 3 years) ,dose anyone have an idea on what u.s equities may benefit the most from a weak u.s dollar and an increase in export.
Criteria ,u.s companies that export the majority of the products to Europe.

    Disclaimer <may be rambaling,as am currently drunk:p.

That boat has sailed. Companies that mostly export are already making new highs (i.e. Coca Cola).

Just short sell the dollar versus the Euro. It's headed to $1.60

I buy/sell the usd 8-10 times a week as it is,i was thinking equities,it should bounce off $1.5000 before it makes up its mind where its going,as long as i'm short or long at the time i don't really care if it goes to 30c or fiver.

    Rasko,
The boat has sailed:confused:,guys said that about gold when it hit $1000.00.

The euro will tank in the next month once it becomes clear Greece will have to restructure, i.e. default. The euro is FAR too high right now, considering the precarious positions the winners and losers of Euroland are in.

In hindsight one interest rate for all was a horrific idea to be fair.

im going to ignore any doomsday predictions regarding the euro from now on unless someone declares war on germany and invades , last november , many serious commentators were predicting that the euro would not see out 2011 , instead , the euro has trounced every other major currency this year , i put 30 k in canadian dollars at the end of march and im already down over a grand , the single currency has killed everything

What I meant was that equity prices have already been rocketing on the basis of the weak Dollar. Like I said, exporters like Coca Cola are making all-time highs on the basis of record profits due to foreign profits being repatriated into weak Dollars.

Like someone else said, if you think the Dollar is going weaker, just short the Dollar.

A Greek restructuring/default. The US inveatment banks want major Greek national assets as collateral but the party in power dont have the power to get that through their parliament. Meetings happening next week.

a greek default is not unexpected , would take a thunderbolt to flatten the single currency , greece has been bad news for two years now

cause i thought the euro was due a correction off the back of the news that portugal needed a bailout in late march , history should have taught me otherwise , ireland needing a bailout had no effect on the single curency

Greeks threaten to pull out of the single currency,WOW,who would have guessed, what other hand do they have to play ?,their holding all the cards at the minute.
The PIIGS are in the Sh1t house for a while now,and what happens, Eur/Usd goes from 1.1890 last year to 1.4930 last week ,go figure.
The U.S want a weak dollar, exports exports exports.

Fair enough. If you can make money in the rigged USD / EUR forex market fair play to you. Fundamentals go out the window when you have criminal bankers and criminal governments manipulating it ni their own interests.

My thoughts are that the Euro is too high for the German export market and will drop significantly over the coming months.

I, like Bob, am in CAD, but like I said anything can happen as the markets are completely rigged!
