hi just wondering does anyone know anything about this!..

I am currently co habiting with by bf and we receive a rent supplement. at the moment we can live in a place for 800. problem is its a duplex and we have a big dog with no back garden, we didnt plan to get pregnant and already had the dog (couldnt bare the idea of having to give him away) im 31 weeks pregnant and we plan to move at the end of this month and pay the 1st months rent in advance, so basically by the time i receive my next rent allowance payment i will be a few days off my due date. i seen a place for 900 and read online that a co habiting couple with one child can find a place for up to 930.

i was just wondering if it would be ok to move into the more expensive place before the baby is born? like i said it will only be a few days off my due date i just dont want do sign a lease if i am not allowed i cant afford to mess up my rent allowance especially not so close to having the baby.

Sorry for going on a bit just wanted to let u know my situation and any experiences you may have had on this matter is much appreciated!

Ask and explain situation to Community Welfare Officer, As far as I know you cant claim extra R.A. till your baby is born.

best of luck moving is the last thing you need at this stage believe me i ended up doing it was the most stressful thing ever fingers crossed your CWO isnt a complete p*ick :)

he's usually alright but i didnt see him today seen a new woman she wasnt too bad! i found a place for 800 anyways so im ok on that now! did u have to post back the rent allowance form? last time i moved i only had to go to him once i moved into the new house and he had it sorted by the time the rent was due, i paid the deposit an 1st months rent upfront last time and plan to do it this time but i hope it doesnt take longer now by posting it away rather than just giving it back to the CWO.
