glass sinks

    Hi there,

    We are building a new home and i was looking at glass sinks online, would anyone know are they durable? easy to install? also where to get them at a good price? and can you get them in any colour? its the round ones i like that would sit on the vanity unit..any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. :)

    They are durable but like all sinks they dont respond well to items dropped into them

    They are not available as much as the use to be to be quite honest. Dare i say it they are not the latest fashion so you will be limited.

    I would just try as many places as i can.

    You cannot drill them for taps so you will need a high basin mxr with them for this i rec a spout thats pointing directly down into the sink rather than off side. An off side one tends to splash you more. Especially in bowls and this is not good with white trousers.

    Yes thats true. But because they are glass a good glass cleaner works very well on them. Just make sure not to make the waste with silicone as glass cleaner is vinager based and vinager eats into silicone.

    Lemon juice is very good for cleaning them and fabric softner for polishing them. It also prevents static build up and thus stops the basins attracting dust.
