Was wondering what people's opinions are on his films?

I recently saw Snatch and RocknRolla and they were two of the best films I ever saw I can honestly say.
Uses interesting actors for the roles,Gerard Butler and when I heard Brad Pitt was playing an Irish traveller I thought he was away with the birds but still really enjoyed the film. Really well thought out and love how their stories interact with other characters.
What are his other films like?

He's a faux-cockney who saw Long Good Friday and Pulp Fiction and then decided remaking misjudged mismashes of them every two years would be a nice way to make a living.

He's sh*t. No-one will remember him as a director a decade from now.

Guy Ritchie, like Quentin Tarantino would be a much more consistent filmmaker if he stopped writing & only directed other peoples scripts.

i saw snatch, lock stock and rock n rolla and though they were all very good, all the same formula but still very enjoyable, I don't think they could be considered bad apart from people knocking them to be edgy

Haha in terms of personal enjoyment I mean, not that they're classics or outstanding. Kinda like Bruce Almighty is one of the best films ever

I hear what you're saying, I think Ritchie does a great job of creating a very enjoyable atmosphere in his films. I mean what I really liked about RocknRolla was that the cast were clearly having a blast, and that made me have a blast watching it. :P

I sort of liked a handful of scenes from Lock, Stock and Snatch, but neither was very good, and any scene could be easily taken from either one and inserted to the other without the audience noticing a thing. After that, his work got pretty awful.

Mind you, I really enjoyed his take on Sherlock Holmes.

Apart fom Swept Away(didn't watch it) and the god awful Revolver I've really enjoyed all his movies. I'd go so far as to say Sherlock Holmes was underrated, Downey Jr. was easily as good in that as he was in Iron Man and Jude Law was perfect as watson.

I've enjoyed the films of his that I've watched. I loved Sherlock Holmes (but I'm a huge Holmes fan, so I'd probably have loved it no matter how it turned out), and am probably the only person who really like Revolver. I find his shooting style is really interesting with lots of little quirks that are generally unnecessary, but look really cool.

He's not going to go down in history as a great director, but he has a distinctive style that at least makes him stand out.

Stylistically I had nothing against Revolver at all, it was just the pretentious **** the script was populated with(I blame Madonna).

Well we all blame Madonna. Worse than Hitler, I say! :D

Lock Stock and Snatch were good but everything he's done since has been utter bollocks.

Ritchie is a great writer/director. Lock Stock, Snatch and Rock n Rolla are all amazing movies. I also thought Revolver was pretty good. I even found myself enjoying Sherlock Holmes when I went to see it in the cinema. He's movies are often similar in theme and style, but I don't see why that's such an awful thing. If we were going to dedicate our time to picking on a director who's style is similar in most of his movies, then I'd like to nominate Michael Bay.

i have to say i honestly would compare lock stock and snatch to Tarintinos reservoir dogs and pulp fiction as in i wouldn't be able to chose which film is better out of each 2 directors first 2 films.

i really think hes a decent director and i haven't watched rock n rolla yet partly due to the fact it stars Gerard butler.

i do agree with what someone said on this forum he should adapt more material when making his films instead of writing from scratch even though i love the dialogue in both snatch and lock stock.

I have to say I enjoy his stuff as a general rule. Snatch is pretty funny, I would rate it above Rocknrolla (too long) and Lock Stock, won't even comment on Revolver (muck), but Sherlock Holmes was excellent IMO. A real romp of a film, highly enjoyable, great character and better than I was expecting it to be. Thoroughly enjoyed it
