The wife bought me this for Christmas and I've ever only used it once. They're a bit fiddly and I don't have the patience to be messing around with focus etc.

I have all the original packaging, I'ld bring it back to the shop for a refund but they only allow a refund up to 28 days.

    €100

Its still for sale, as I've said I have never really used it.

According to the instructions the maximum observation range is 140m, this is the distance from which a person can be recognised, this is with no fog, dust etc, and with 1/4 moon.

You could increase the range by using an infra red filter on a lamp with it.

I tried this out last night and it does actually work could pick out rabbits out to 100 yards, could see the reflection of their eyes and then focus in on them. You do have to constantly adjust the focus and the brightness to get a clear picture, but I’ld say it would be useful to scan the fields for a lampshy fox.
