Good looking teenagers who become ugly adults?

Has anyone else noticed that when they look at old classmates on Facebook, often the people who were considered good looking and popular have really let themselves go and are no longer anything special to look at? There was a girl in my form who all the boys adored, she was very confident and outgoing and had gorgeous auburn hair, lovely skin and was really thin and pretty. I can remember being so jealous of her that I actually tried to dye my hair the same colour as her's but that's another story

Fast forward and I recently saw her on Facebook and couldn't believe it. I had to do a double take to make sure it was her. She's now massively overweight, I'd say she's easily obese and gone is the lovely auburn hair. It's now bleached this awful, yellowy blond colour. At first I thought this was just someone else with the same name, but when I looked I realised we had mutual friends and she went to my school and left in the same year so it's her for sure.

Much like the ugly duckling become the swans, the beautiful children and teenagers become ugly adults

I've found the opposite actually.most are better looking now.though more generic looking. I've stayed consistently ugly though

I went to a private school for models, so they only improved.

I know this seems bad but I love it when women who've dumped me over the years did badly for themselves afterwards.

    It's a guilty pleasure.:p

People naturally get old and their appearances change.
Very few people get better looking with age.

I've a theory on this actually...

You've got the 'popular' kids. The guys everyone looks up to who get the girls and the girls who figure out how to use make-up and sex-up their uniforms quickest. They believe that learning is for fagots and...because nobody enjoys homework...we go along with this. Until we get to the Leaving Cert and realise that, ****, we need to study. They'll be too proud to back down on their 'homework is for gaylords' policy, fail miserably, and spend the rest of their life acting as if they never WANTED job prospects or a future anyway. Besides, if you believe their pub banter, they could have played for Man United if they wanted to. But they opted for the life of an unemployed electrician instead.

Then you've the...for lack of a better term...B-kids. The girls you look at around 16 and think "Oh...where did you come from?!" (generally after they master the art of plucking their eyebrows) or the rocker guys whose 'weird' sense of humour actually starts to mature with age. Popularity wasn't a real option for them so they went another route and applied themselves to a hobby or skill - usually starting a band - in order to get the ladies foaming at the gash. They kept a hold of this ability to apply themselves later in life and managed to become hotter and succeed more in their career goals.

Then you've got the weird kids. Who just stay weird. And usually end up disgraced at some point in later life for getting caught masturbating in a bush or the like.

Was actually a bully and an absolute twat until about 3rd year. Nearly ended up expelled. Then I grew up, I suppose.

I'd probably be a reformed popular kid if you had to classify me.

The amount of gorgeous girls that get super fat by the time they hit their early twenties... It's like nature's way of telling them that they need to develop a personality.

If they got a personality then half the guys in Dublin wouldn't get the ride!

Dont be so dam rude. Listen to people theory's you might learn a thing or two from them.

Good theory though. But on the rocker part I can only see U2 managed to become successful that way.

Wait a second, women get jealous of other women????

Are you still an ugmo, OP?

I was the guy who sat at the front of class in fairness! I didn't learn anything about those around me in the process but soon caught up after breaking out of that "bubble"!

I sat at the front too.but because I couldn't see anything and cause I wasn't cool enough to sit at the back.had no guys interested in me in school.that changed...seems to be a returning phase now though.hmm maybe i'm going the opposite

I was horrendously ugly for most, or probably all of secondary school, no exaggeration. Then at about 18 I started to begin looking half decent, and watched on as girls got tired of the childishness of the lads who'd been popular and goodlooking in school and started to show some kind of interest in me. Don't like being smug, actually I hate it, but fúck it, they gave me a hard time so why not enjoy the tables turning? :)

    Glad to hear it. ;)

But seriously people, some good-looking people remain so, it's glib to say they all go downhill in looks because it's not always true.

When get older, release it not always about the "cutest guy in class that makes you gods gift to women" but down to personality.

Someone told me that women are at their most appealing at 19 and men at 25.
I'm 19 now and still a bit of a weird looking yolk so if this is my high point god love me in the future.

I was terrible looking as a kid and young teen and have only marginally improved.Only around 4th year did lads show any interest and from then on its been alright but looking back the state of me.Thankfully I grew boobs which also helped.

I do know a lot of girls who were gorgeous around 13 or so and are now still pretty but not quite as good looking as they were,i'm not sure what it is but I'm not the only one to think it.
