I'm no tech expert but there's a thread around somewhere where the G570 was recommended. It's good spec for the price. I've been looking at the same with slightly more storage.

My main worries are portability and that goddamn ''HD '' screen. Not on a 15''6 screen it ain't! Other than that, I haven't seen any other models with that spec for the price.

You'd want to make sure that Football manager would run with the intel graphics. I've no idea what the games like at all!

Football manager won't be a problem with any of those...

Football manager can run perfectly on practically any graphics card mate!

My advise on a laptop for you is this one, €382 delivered. www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Samsung_R525_987270.html
    Processor AMD Athlon II X2 M340 Dual Core (M340, 2.2GHz, 1MB L2 cache)
Screen 15.6" (Samsung SuperBright Gloss LCD TFT, 1366 x 768 HD)
Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium Edition
    RAM 3GB (DDR3 1066MHZ)
    Hard Drive 320GB
Optical Drive DVD Rewriter (Records DVDs 8x & CDs 24x & Dual Layer Super Multi)
Graphics Dedicated (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 with 512MB Dedicated DDR3 RAM)
    Wireless LAN Wireless (802.11b/g/n Wireless)
    Network Card 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet
    Integrated Webcam Integrated Webcam
USB Ports 3x USB 2.0 ports
    Speakers Integrated Stereo Speakers
VGA Port 1 External VGA Port
    Kensington Lock Kensington lock slot
    Charge Time 2.5 Hours
    HDMI 1x HDMI Port
Warranty 12 Months Samsung Collect & Return Warranty
Battery Life 2-3 Hours (up to 3 hours with power management)
Weight 2-3 Kg (This Model 2.5 Kg)
There really is no need for i3 sandy bridge processors and stuff like that G570 if you are just using the laptop for college use and light gaming. That is my opinion anyway, it depends if you want it to last for 5-6 years or 2-3 years! The G570 is more future proof but its more expensive by a good bit. That laptop I listed has dedicated graphics, dual core, HDMI port, perfect for a student I think.

you wanna make sure you get at least 4GB of Ram to future proof and a decent graphics card for games, not an integrated one.

2gb ram sticks go for about €15 nowadays. Also you dont need dedicated graphics unless you will be doing a god bit of gaming or a lot of photshop/video editing.

The spec of that is significantly different across those suppliers.
6GB RAM, 640GB HDD and seperate 1GB Graphics card on saveonlaptops.com 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD and Integrated Graphics only on dabs and amazon.
