I was going to post a couple of these in the random thread but thought maybe giving them their own thread might act as a gentle reminder to folk that are interested to pay a visit to their local bluebell wood, a bit earlier than normal but it's that time of the year again.

Anyone know of anywhere in Louth ?

Anyone know one near limerick? Google just throws a load of housing estates named Bluebell Woods at me (searching these areas then on google satellite shows no woods so I assume there used to be one there).

    Cheers

    Thanks :-)

It was actually the one I spent the least time thinking about and was almost a snap just before I left. Typical!

    thanks

Haven't been able to get up to the woods yet. Are they still in bloom? Might get up tomorrow or Tuesday. Weather's a bit nasty this evening, it's howling wind and raining every so often. Wimp.

I went through lightroon and just did some basic touches like blacks, clarity, contrast (which I'd have to do anyway as I shot in raw) then some increased saturation on blue, green I think.

No exact science just play around until it "pops" and doesn't look overdone. That said it varies from monitor to monitor.

You can send on yours and I'll have a look. Or I can send you on my before and after if you want to PM me. I'm no expert though.

Some locations up North for those who are near:

    - Portglenone Wood, Co Antrim (very dense growth in some areas)

    - Clare Glen, Tandragee, Co. Armagh

I'll have some posted from these places soon.
