Hi all, ive been shooting the last year with a Lanber sporter mc with 30 inch barrells , im now considering an upgrade , somewhere around 1000 euro with lanber or maybe sell lanber private and pay somewhere between 1500 and 2000 for a good 2nd hand gun, i shoot Dtl and skeet and i like the 30 inch barrells, what would be a good gun for me? is a gun with adjustable stock a good option? ps im a lefty!

I'm slightly biased, but there is only one gun that i would recommend for that money. Beretta 682e Gold. Comes with with 28/30/32" barrels and Optima chokes. I find i don;t need an adjustable cheek pieve, but if it suits they can be got with them.

They would not be very common, even second hand as they are over €3000 new and are an excellent gun, hence owners generally hang onto them.

I've only seen 2 in the last few months for sale and both were in the €2200 region and right handed.

I'm sure others will suggest different makes, but i know that 3 lads i shoot with that owned Browning Cynergy, etc changed to the Beretta.

+1 on the beretta Gold E. lovely gun, a joy to shoot.

im not big into clay shooting but if i was i would get a Blaser F3, i know a lad who has one and words cant describe how well they shoot!
i seen one up the north last year for £2000.

have a good look around there are deals to be got;)

i am also a lefty, my last gun was left handed, winchester, but this one is not its a browning 525 gold 32" barrels, i am shooting well with it, if not better than the left handed one, not sure how much of an advantage it is to have a left handed gun i am sure others would know more than me, its something i dont think about to be honest, well, till now:D:rolleyes::D... as george digweed said it doesnt matter too much if your gun doesnt fit you, as long as it shoots where you are looking..... there should be plenty of deals around with the new licence system fellas are selling off guns they dont want to keep...

Varadero, be careful as you move forward. Beretta is not the ONLY option open to you. Get yourself to a dealer you can trust and try a few different options. Lakelands, John Conroy, Courtlough, somewhere you can try a gun.
Trying it out is a great experience which will save you money.
    Best of luck.
