Underwire bikinis

    Hi all,

Going on holiday in a few weeks, and I'm having some trouble finding underwire bikinis. I've tried La Senza, and I did find one that I liked but I'm not too keen on the patterns and colours of the rest of their stock, and all other shops just seem to have normal triangle bikinis - unfortunately they don't provide me with enough support ;-)

    Any suggestions?

    Hiya,

Dunnes and Pennies do bikinis with underwires and a range of cup sizes. I always look for support so am constantly on the lookout :)

If you are looking for something a bit more expensive then Debenhams and Marks and Spencers do the cups too, and the DD and higher are catered for too. Like I said, these are going to be WAY more expensive that Dunnes/Pennies.

New look do some too, now that I remember. And they are nice too. Topshop might even have caught onto it but they favour the bikinis of the itty-bitty kind.

I was going to get mine this weekend, but other stuff came up. This has gotten me all excited again, thanks! :D

I had a browse around Debenhams and didn't see much, although that was a few weeks ago, I'll check back and see if they've got any new stock. Totally forgot about Marks and Spencers! I'll give them a try aswell, thanks :-)

Next have a great selection of underwired bikinis on their website - the selection isn't as big in their stores.

But you can order online and have it delivered to the store of your choice for free!!

Saw a gorgeous one myself that I'm going to purchase soon :)

Plainer colours are a good idea as they don't pull in the eyes as much as patterns.

On the designer side TheBikiniShop.ie (disclosure I'm involved in the business) are worth consideration as you can mix and match the top and botttom sizes, as not every body type is uniform.

Also everyone can be nervous buying swimwear online but if the bikini isn't a perfect fit when you get it, we'll send a courier out to collect the bikini at your convenience and refund the full amount purchased. So that way your not put out or out of pocket if it's not the perfect fit. So if you'd like to consider buying from an Irish business, below is worth a look. :)

I've had a look at thebikinishop before and they do have some nice ones, the sizes won't work for me though.. I'd be a small - which says 30 to 32 inches, but its an A/B cup. I'd be a D cup, but a 32 on the waist, and the D cup only seems to come under large, which is a 38 inch waist.. its such a pain in the ass the way some places just assume that if you have bigger breasts, your a larger dress size.

Arnotts in Dublin and Anthony Ryans in galway

NB-swimwear is usually out in March so if you are a specialised size you should start looking from then on as they fly out of the shop.

Car.Kar. I've never thought about it like that, but it occurs to me some of the models like Georgia Salpa wear our stuff a lot and she has a very small frame. Thanks for the feedback, should be something we can focus on improving so it's hugely appreciated.

Car.Kar - Just got around to following up on this. Many of the bikinis are tie back so then the dimensions of the length of the back aren't as relevant. They've suggested they drop the back size to avoid confusion in future.

Try "change" in Omni or the pavillions in swords.

I actually got a really comfortable underwired bikini in Asda. You have to mess around with the sizes a wee bit so you need time to try on. I have been measured as a 32F and that is usually fine for a bra but I ended up getting a 34E bikini top in Asda and it fits perfectly...think it was only 8 quid too and you can buy the top and bottom seperately so you dont have to worry about getting the right size on top and having the bottom way too big.

OP, you may be gone on hols by now, so I might be a bit late chiming in on this thread. Ever tried Bravissimo? Might be worth a shot, they have some pretty things on there.
