    He was probably being sarcastic...

Sure Messi has scored 31 goals in the Spanish league but does he have the follicles to make it in a Wash and Go advert, I don't know....

He gives off a likeable impression but behind that he's just another mercenary.

He left Fulham after spending more time on their injury list because they wouldn't offer him a longer contract on more money. Joined Hull because they were doubling his wage, and when they tried to shift him out after getting relegated hung on as long as he could on massive wages which were killing the club. Yes, they shouldn't have offered him that sort of money in the first place but they were desperate and gambled on him to help them stay up, along with thinking he'd probably leave if they went down but once again he spent more time on their injury list and had no interest in moving on when they did go down. He had interest from the likes of Celtic too and they even said they couldn't agree to his wage demands.

Like I said, he gives off a likeable impression and that's probably why people ignore the above but I have very little time for him.

Funny story about the celebration, it was actually Paul Mc Shanes idea, Bullard was interviewed the day after and was quoted as saying "It was the Irish lads idea we agreed that whoever scored would get to play Phil Brown"

Don't know if he's quite as good as Messi, but he wouldn't be out of place at LaLiga club Real Sociedad

ff to 0:30 (couldn't find longer clip but you get the idea)

Worse than that. Celtic and Hull had agreed who would pay what of his 50 grand wages for a loan deal and he demanded 40k a week ON TOP OF IT again.

Even Celtic and Hull, who aren't unused to mercenary behaviour and general selfishness were stunned by it

Disappeared off the map didn't he? Always found his ADHD antics a bit tiresome after a while tbh.

He's right up there with Phil "Tuffers" Tufnell in terms of being an annoying...

Just like Holloway and Blackpool, at the start he was a bit of a novelty, now he comes across as annoying and tiresome.

For player with a injury history like him it was greed beyond words.

I can't believe people are shocked that someone wants to earn as much money as possible. Is there anyone here that wouldn't change job for double pay? Football is a professional sport.

A legend for the Soccer AM generation, "friend of the show", cheeky chappy who is also happy to play at a mediocre level in order to preserve his ridiculously over inflated wages.

His agent is a legend more like.

Was watching Soccer AM there for the first time in about 5 years there yesterday, good god its pure tripe. Its become a parody of itself. Who are ya chants, forced banter, Tubes, "unbelievable tekkers"

    Unbelievable sh*te more like.

He didn't get his money, his demands were laughable. Instead he's at Ipswich, good riddance.

He's a greedy so and so. If he had to of stayed with Fulham he would of had a good Euro run.

Really liked the show back in the day (although Saturday was usually my only lie in so didn't get to see it all too often :P) but after watching it quite a lot this season it's really time to put it out of it's misery.

It has all the hallmarks of a show that's years past it's sell by date.

Soccer AM went downhill when Lovejoy left.

Money isn't everything to me, I've really enjoyed my time on loan at Portman Road and would love a permanent move.

If a player said it, it has to be true. Pity he didn't cross paths with Keane at ipswich.

It wasn't just Lovejoy. The likes of Sheephead and Fenners have been replaced with utter cack and Helen Chamberlain should've bowed out gracefully a few years ago.
