Wilson US Open Balls

    so these seem to be very good balls, better than the head balls we usually use, elverys website has them but my brother hasnt seen them in the shop last week so anyone know anywhere else in town to get them (dublin town) ? online will be a very last resort to get them

    maby try another elverys other than the one in clerys?...is there even any other elverys in town :S ?

    Don't know if they have those balls, but the main Elvery's in town would be the one on Suffolk Street, there's also one on Dawson Street but I think that might be a specialist shop (or else it had a sale on for golf I think last time I remember passing it). I'm not mad about the Head balls either, but the Dunlop Fort balls are decent, and are probably the most popular ones used in the leagues (at least among the clubs we tend to get drawn against!)

    ive nothing against the head balls just never used any others so i cant complain about them yet :p elverys have the wilson ones on the website :\ i know the one on suffolk street i totally forgot about that somehow ill have a look in on tuesday and if they dont have the wilson ones ill get the dunlop ones you mentioned

    we noticed some the head balls not getting enough bounce the odd time, im thinking its the other 2 lads making excuses though lol.... clubs you say so you are in tournaments?..allways wanted to enter tournaments but i dont wana join a club and am afraid im not good enough for you pro's lol

    If you're in Dublin, then there are quite a few open tournaments held during the summer, most have 3/4 sections to cater for all levels, and you don't have to be a member of a club to enter. A list can be found here:

    They are starting a new ID thing that requires you to register with Tennis Ireland before you can start entering, but you can do that yourself via the Tennis Ireland site, you don't have to go through a club to register.

    ill have a look at the link now wow never knew that i allways guessed you needed a club :)

    i think im a good player only play every summer for the past 3 years like but if i enter 1 ill enter the leist competitive one for starters lol
