Need some help re a quick fix for battery for my golf trolley.

My electric buggy is a golf motion one and on monday my buggy was fully submerged in a lake (don't ask!!) anyway battery worked fine for the remaining 9 holes also worked fine for 18 holes on the Tues. Was playing on Friday (yesterday) also and only lasted for 3 holes.

I'm assuming it took that time for the water to damage the battery?

Does anyone know of any aul wifes tales or the like for trying to fix it or is it totally fecked.

    Cheers

Haven't a clue about the battery but tell us how it happened to get submerged :D

Was playing Bray today, looking for my ball in the rain on the side of a big bank in the rough when the bag falls off the electric trolley and it spins off down the bank and along the fairway for ages. Other lads i knew looking down from tee box waiting to hit off laughing their heads off, just wanted to curl up in a ball and roll home meself the way i was playing. Brolley broke as well on previous hole, horrible day on the course altogether.:D

The morning was great then teeing off at 10:50 it started to rain for few holes and blustery at times then it was roasting ! Lads out in shorts and that with no wet gear or brolleys. Mad weather we get.

Don't know of any quick fix I'm afraid, sorry. As far as I know golfmotion are doing a deal on batteries at the mo. Think there is 20 euro off a 36 hole one.

I have to get my trolley rewired next week. Wires in folding part have become frayed. Thought the battery was fecked but it isn't. When I do get it done i will be sure to reinforce the wire at the folding joint with tape.

its not the battery thats fecked! chances are the controls have water in them, maybe toast. but prob all thats wrong is dirt/corrosion on the connectors.
check charge time on the dead battery

apparently leaving it in the boot of your car for 3 weeks seems to work wonders............. played twice with this weekend and worked fine, yahoo
