Burglary in a rented house

    Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread, just a quick question...If there's a burgalry in a rented house that has no intruder alarm is the landlord in any way liable?

    There is no requirement for rented accommodation to be furnished with an alarm. The only way there would be a chance of the landlord being remotely responsible is if you had reported problems with the windows or doors and they hadn't been fixed. You are responsible for insuring your own contents.
