It's a 1.3 Endura E engine, It was idling badly and was missing silghtly, so I changed the plugs and even filed down the battery contacts!!. The engine has been running smooth since, but then it cuts out when sitting idling. Where to now folks? Alternator, coil pack, spark plug leads???

Idle speed control valve might be mucked up

There's also a small rubber hose running from the inlet manifold up to the MAP sensor on the bulkhead. That hose might be leaky.
