Sources around the American media have indicated that the 8th circuit is to grant a stay of the decision to lift the lockout. If a stay is granted, the decision is suspended and the lockout is back on unless the NFL loses their appeal.

I'm going mental, after expecting a flurry of free agency signings today and the first light at the end of the tunnel with all this shít, we could be right back to square one.

Goddell is lucky he isn't announcing the picks tonight (well 2nd round anyway) or he'd be getting more chants
He handled it well last night though

I would think they'll rule on this on Monday, it won't be until the draft is over

It was ESPN who broke the news, it seems now that they got to see papers which were allowed in late with the word granted on them and they ran with the story that the temporary stay was granted. And of course NBC just love reporting that ESPN got it wrong.
ESPN has retracted its report that St. Louis' Eighth Circuit Court granted a "stay" of the lockout injunction Friday.

And this is just ridiculous. The NFL are applying for a temporary stay until their appeal for a temporary stay can be heard. Funking American Lawyers and all their little nicpicking, its why they make so much money.

Problem is though, the league could choose not to open for business and allow free agency on the back of the expected stay.
