Rough estimate of cost of lazer treatment with the beacon clinic

I am considering getting lazer correction done on my eyes. The beacon comes highly recommended, however they want me to come in for a paid consultation before they will do a cost estimate.

I dont want to pay for an estimate. I know cost varies, but in general what is a rough cost range for treatment in the beacon?

To give a rough guide to my eyes, i need glasses all the time, but i can still get away without them, basically its only mild myopia.

Any help you can give would be great. thanks!

    hi fret_wimp2,
Not sure about beacon, but had in contact with Mater Private,Optilaise and Optical Express.
    Mater Private: 3070
    Optilaise:2790
Optical Express: 2200-4400(depends on your prescription)

Would you mind telling me why you chose to go for beacon, but not Optical Express? I am thinking of going OE. looking for feedbacks of OE.

I have a friend who went for consultations in optical express, and the beacon.

He has particularly bad eye sight. the beacon said that at that point in time they believed his case was too severe to be dealt with by lazer treatment.

Optical seemed to have less worries about the condition, and offered the treatment, for both eyes on the same day! I take this as optical express dont worry so much about the risks of surgery and so i wouldnt trust my sight to them.
