I'm wondering if this is healthy and sustainable for someone going to the gym and trying to build muscle.

Basically my dinner will consist of meat, veg and beans of some sort. I had kidney beans yesterday. The plan is to rotate different types of beans on different days. That's the plan anyway. Just wanted to run it by you lot to see what you think.

Just for clarity, what is the reasoning behind the swap?

My belly bloats out so I'm cutting out bread and potatoes to get a better shape. Also beans are really good for you according to what I've read and provide carbs as well as protein.

Beans have a high carb content too. Similar to potatoes, if you eat too much you will bloat.

Beans are delicious. I'm a huge fan of chick peas, butter beans, kidney beans and green beans. Not so huge a fan of black beans.
