Gaggia Classic - Silvia wand mod (again)

    Hi,

    I'm hoping to put a Rancilio Silvia steam wand on my Classic. Can someone suggest where to get the parts?

    I know this has been done a lot before, but all the older threads recommend Happy Donkey who seem to have stopped shipping to Ireland since.

    It doesn't help you directly, but I got mine via Happydonkey & a relative in the UK. I looked at the other suppliers (can't remember who specifically) but Happydonkey were the cheapest for the set of things I was getting so I went with them.

    It's hard to believe in this day and age that some places limit their own market, but I can see how a few lost parcels here and there could add up to a lot of his time spent trying to track €30 orders down. I presume he reckoned it was cheaper for him not to ship outside the UK at all when he took the time into account. It seems to be a very UK thing though. I've come across UK travel agents who wouldn't take an order from Irish residents for no particularly good reason that I could discern.

    Might be no harm in contacting happydonkey yourselves as they shipped to me August 2010 when the no shipping outside UK rule was well in place. I sent them a request via the website and Scott got back to me within 24 hrs with a price including shipping here - paid with paypal, my order arrived fairly promptly also.
