my bridesmaid is preggers and hormonal ( i hope) that or i am not sure she wants the job.
she's not able to attend makeup trial, going to get hers done on the wedding day by her own beautician, after i'd arranged for her to be with us on the day.
she's questioning the hair - was advised its not necessary to do trial for b.maids.
I don;t think i gave free reigns when i started talking to b.maids bout the hair/makeup etc. said whatever ye feel comfortable with..
was i a fool to think that she wouldn't be thinking about the day and what she'd like and i wasn't talking much about it... doing the main jobs first.

how do i keep things going well now and not feel on the day that i've asked the wrong friend?

Why don't you ask your friend if she is still interested in being your bridesmaid as she doesn't seem to be?
You shouldn't be worrying about anyone else in the lead up to the wedding.

When I was a bridesmaid I did whatever the bride wanted. I didn't even think of how the hair and make up were done. I knew it was their day end off. I could have been in a monkey suit for all I cared.
I would ask her straight out. She may be feeling self conscious especially if it is the first pregnancy and far along.

i'm not sure exactly what you're asking - did you tell your bridesmaids that they could get their hair/make up done however they saw fit? if so, i don't see the issue - or maybe i'm missing something?

all she's done is choose a different make-up artist - maybe she's had a bad experience with the one you picked and would rather get it done somewhere else, maybe she knows the other place she's picked and knows that they're going to make her look her best? how exactly would that be an indication that you might have ''picked the wrong friend''?

and i don't really get what you mean about the the hair thing - are you telling her to have her done a certain way? does that style actually suit her? will she feel comfortable wearing that style all day?

If you said they could have whatever they feel comfortable with doesn't that mean you gave free reign?
I know how you feel. I'm trying to give my bm's choice as regards hair and shoes but I meant that the 3 could decide together on a style that would suit them all. One bm has decided that no style on the other two would suit her!
The tact I'm gonna take is just to make the decision myself and tell them what they're wearing. After photos they can do what they want with their hair!

Sounds like you've decided on the style you want too. In what way is the bm questioning it? If it's something that could be slightly changed to suit her while still blending in with other bms maybe that could be an option?

With the makeup maybe she's just going to her own beautician cos she won't need a trial with her - since she's missing your trial like?

Either way, hope's not lost! Either just tell the way things are gonna be or try and negotiate it with her. Good luck!
