iPhone 4 & Imagine WiMax

Hello everyone! Hope your having a good day!

But to business, I have an iPhone 4 16GB iOS 4.3.2 Jailbroken
I also have Imagine WiMax 7mb subscription(never saw that speed) because I foolishly forgot to do my homework and see that Imagine is a mobile network, I.e. It just an antenna revamp on your o2/Vod etc. Antenna, for even slower speeds than before!
Anyway, I do however get the usual YT video loaded up as I watch it on my computer, but never on the iPhone, I suffer from unbearably slow speed, I actually gave up on YT altogether from my iPhone.
But when I go to my friends house with Eircom, UPC, BT, the speeds are astonishing. Now, I know WiMax is nothing short of **** but, then I asked my friend with an iPhone 3G to try my Internet and hey presto it's fine and he could easily use the Internet.
So maybe, the new advanced WiFi setting or something aren't properly configured and thus the, well, speed wouldn't be the word I use but, you know.
I have access to router settings aswell if some channel work maybe?
I'm just really ****** off because I'm paying a lot if money for nothing, and while the contract runs, I just want to be able to watch a single YouTube video.

    Thanks.

you could try not using dhcp to get your ip address, I use static and connect it to the google dns which is 8.8.8.8

just copy all the information from the dhcp section to the static section in the wifi properties and set the dns as above and see how you get on.

No, it didn't seem to help.
I'm able to load pc YouTube but on the iPhone I didn't even bother trying after it didn't play for a minute after I pressed the play button.
    It's so slow.
Do you know any settings on the router side?

I posted a solution to this a few weeks ago as I was plagued by the problem, I will route out the post and re-post it.

Dont bother calling Wimax as they wont be able to help

    ok found it here.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=70766875

I have since made other tweaks to the settings so let me know how you get on with these first.

Note that its not perfect and you wont get full speed but you should get between 1/3 to a 1/2 of speed.
