Just turned my 6 year old BEKO on. Colours are red/green with no mono ( black and white)
    Does this mean its bu**ered?

is it connected from a set top box via scart?
if so unplug and reconnect the scart cable, or try another one.

If it is connected to a set top box via scart, then the box may be set to RGB output, if the tv is not compatible then set the set top box to composite output, RGB to an older tv set is the usual cause of a greenish hue to a tv from an external input.

Even in analog mode on aerial only the colours are not right, as said above a predominant greenish hue and sometimes purple/magenta.
Probably not worth going for repair?

Went to Argos, got a new LG, all singing and dancing at good price.
Installed it, everything worked, satelite, dvd, and wait for it....
Tuned terrestial and got the usual analogue fuzz, tuned it again and then got digital RTEs e3 radio etc absolutely perfect, with text!
Now I live in a hollow in Tipperary, I even need a booster for 3 broadband, but I got first class free telly.
Anyone got rubish reception I reccomend an up to date telly that almost installs itself.
Only awkward bit was the mount which was easy enough but did not match the instuction book.
The rest was simple even without instructions on conections, you just move the scarts about till it works ( well theres only 2 ways, ones right and ones wrong)
    For once I aint moaning.
Just think the Royal wedding shown perfectly ( just a joke)
