    Hi there,

I am hoping that somebody could help me find out what the unit prices of electricity/gas have been for the last decade?

I have called the biggest electrical company in the country, but they were not of much help.

Anybody who could point me in the right direction here, it'd be greatly appreciated!

    Paul

If you're willing to pay you could get them from here:

Absolutely not paying $170 for the privilege! But thanks for the link :)

    You're welcome.

The only other option is to find someone who keeps all their bills (preferably in date order), get a loan of them and extrapolate the unit prices from them. :D Seriously, though, wouldn't actually take that long. I did have bills going back to 2000 but did a cleanout late last year and may no longer have them.

Will let you know if I come across them.

    Wow!
    Thanks, brightspark.
    That is seriously good service.
I'm sure the OP will be very happy.
Now, you wouldn't happen to be a gas customer too, would you???!! :D

A very open ended question IMO, different prices apply to domestic, commercial, industrial, and then differences from different suppliers, is this enough scope for not answering - in short they've increased and will continue to?

Not a gas customer, perhaps someone else is. Perhaps I should have a clear out too.

dowtcha has a point, there have been different rates for different customers, even the domestic rate has different urban and rural standing charges and also night/day rates also available.

Maybe there are others here who might have been on different plans

seai.ie usually compile reports on this type of information, as would the cro.ie
