A4 events ?

just been looking at the CI calender for some A4 races to ride over the next few weeks cant find any ! with the exception of the Waller cup it looks like the A4s have been abandoned,it was well flagged by CI that clubs were to be encouraged to run A4 only events it was one of the reasons i took out the license but to date i have not ridden one A4 only race always been lumped in with the 2&3s,makes for hard going on my old legs,
i know its to late now but surely their would be a demand if a club ran Leinster based A3/4 summer series to run on Fri evening or sat morning ?
with no prize money their might even be a few bob to be made !

Our club (Wexford Wheelers) will have an A4 race in the Frank O' Rourke at the end of May.

I'm sure Slaney will have an A4 race in the Eddie Tobin.

Unfortunately it looks as if many clubs take the easy way out and promote A4 races which then turn into either handicapped races or combined A3/A4 races which defeats the purpose of A4 racing and generally just p%sses people off.

What about the Hammond Memorials 8th May? The Jim O’Leary and Ken O’Keeffe (15th May) had a separate A4 race last year.
The Stamullen GP had a separate A4 race the weekend before last.

Dunlavin, Roundwood also had separate A4 races last year.

These may be the same as above. Not very good with names.....

thanks guys im not saying their is none but they are hard to find ,also its only when you get to the sign on that you find out its a cp and not a separate A4,2 bank hols and no racing for the A4s the best way to improve is to get out and race, i still think their would be a demand for a A4 race at theses times

The Kanturk 3 day have a specific A4 only race. You can still enter if you want but you better get the cheque in the post pronto!
