Folks, tried to figure this out by Googling but failed ....
If I buy a second hand iPad with lots of Apps already on it do they stay on the iPad when I set it up with my computer and user account or do they disappear?
    Thanks for any advice.

No, they will dissapear as soon as you sync the iPad with your own library! Long as you don't ever update they will stay on it :p

    Thanks for the reply.
    The seller says the following:
"You could sync everything I have to your computer, then factory reset it, then add the music & apps again."

Does that make sense, (ignoring the obvious moral argument)?

Only if he is willing to give you his password to his account to update the apps in future.

you can't sync his ipad to your comp, only the other way.

Besides, the costs of a few apps is minor to the costs of an ipad (even 2nd hand)
