You need an unlocked iPhone for it to work with meteor.

Is there a way of getting the phone unlocked or getting one ?

cant get my iphone to work on meteor. Its unlocked but the micro sim only gave one bar of signal and it wouldn't work. guy in meteor shop said i could have broken the ariel by dropping it (which i did:() but someone told me if the ariel was broken it wouldn't pick up the signal for the internet and it does...any ideas??

Could be just rubbish Meteor reception in your area.
If you previously had a phone on Meteor with good coverage, then trying turning 3G off, as it may be just the 3G coverage that's rubbish. Internet access will be slower however.

Settings > General > Network > Enable 3G (slide to off)

If it's data that's not working, then you need to enter the carrier settings by hand in order for the handset to be able to connect to the Internet.

Not too sure but think there was a problem with the latest jailbreak that caused the iPhone 4 to have no signal and it needed to be unlocked again. Maybe thats the problem.
