court over possession of cannabis

    i have received a court summons recently for getting caught with 2 grams of cannabis herb. i was not selling, nor was i in a house or car at the time and i was wondering what i could be liable for. This was my first time since i turned 18 and just to clear things up this was in the republic of ireland.

    my main concern is the chances that i would get a criminal record over this, what exactly determines whether i get one or not?

    If anyone has had any similar experiences i would appreciate some advice/info

    haha yeah thats what i was thinking, seems like a pretty stupid amount to have to go to court over

    Breaking the law is breaking the law. There was a link to the relevant section of the Act in the last thread you started about this. I'd check that.
