Emobile - difference between packages

Can someone explain difference between following Emobile packages:

    1) Select Unlimited talk and text (€49) plus unlimited data add-on (€15) = €64 total (on 18 months contract - over 12 months would be €69) (FOR EIRCOM CUSTOMERS) and

    2) Select Unlmited - €84 incl 5gb of data on 18 month contract (€89 on 12 month contract) (FOR EIRCOM CUSTOMERS)

Why would anyone go for select unlimited package when the talk and text package and unlimited data add-on is cheaper

Edit - I should point out that the prices above would all increase if you are not an Eircom customer - so €74 for option 1 and €89 for option 2 (over 18 months) or €79/€94 over 12 months

So the main point is - if you are not an eircom customer (like a lot of us) and want a 12 month contract the cost of Option 1 is €79 versus €94 for Option 2.

Option 1 is a new plan that was launched recently.
Option 2 is one of the plans from when eMobile opened last September.

So with the new plan Select Unlimited Talk and Text with the data add on, its great value.

The unlimited data add on has a fair use policy of 10GB still double the data from the other plan:P

It's purely preferrence really. I would note they are both great value and you can choose to go on either at signup.

    I would re-iterate this. :)

Hi Steve, I don't follow - can you give me a reason as to why anyone in their right mind would go for option 2? Am I missing something?

As above it'd be preferrence. Customers however are free to choose any package they like when they sign up. The package is there as a data inclusive option, however I do understand what you're saying. All I'm saying is that the option is there should someone choose to use ii (as it is still cheaper for what you get than most tariffs on other networks also).

The Select Unlimited Talk and Text is a Great value plan which is also available to our customers.

So it's all about choice really. Our customer can choose either.

    Thanks Steve.

But I think Emobile should evaluate the cost of the talk and browse bundles to reflect the new talk package.

Logic would dictate that Option 2 would be priced to encourage people to go on data inclusive packages i.e. priced slightly lower than a talk package with data add-on.

Thanks for the feedback on this.

I'll pass this on to the relevant people internally now. :)
