    Does Deleteing gmails on Android phone, free up space

    Android 2.2, getting a little tight on space

    Moved apps to SD card

    Now looking at deleting unwanted emails from phone ;

    If I delete emails using my PC, does this delete em, from phone, (easier to do using PC), but not sure it will create space on phone

    If housekeeping my gmails on phone, can I sort them by size, biggest at the top of list

    Thanks

    Your Gmail emails are on the Gmail server though, not on your phone.
    It won't make a difference or not if you delete them, they're not taking up any space on your phone.
    What might be taking up space though is any attachments in those emails that you've downloaded.

    Go into Applications in the Android Settings and look for Mail (or GMail) app - it will show you how much space is being used up by the mail data.
