New Car Key

Hi all,


Need some advice, my car key is cracked at the casing and im afraid itll break sometime soon, so I went to my local toyota garage and the guy quoted me 180 Euro for the key and programming, Considering its just the casing thats cracked he suggested bringing it to a locksmith.

Do you guys know any better ideas?

Hey, had the same problem a few weeks back. The blade of the key was coming loose from the casing, and its a Toyota too! Anyway I brought it to www.lockdoctor24hours.ie in Limerick and he cut a new key and swapped over the "guts"(central locking button) into the new casing and replaced the battery for €45. I'd say most locksmiths should be able to do this for you.

Is this the type of key?

Tried that before too, key snapped in lock after 3 days. You get what you pay for.
