    hi all

i'm looking to buy a treadmill for home, it just has to go up to a speed of at least 15/16 kph and have a wide enough belt. I'm building a house at the moment and am at the finishing stage, i couldn't afford to pay for gym membership again as i was not really going that much with the house taking up all my time. i have other equipment but the treadmill is my favorite of them all.

could anyone recommend a treadmill that would be value for money as its getting very scarce as this house goes on.

You'll make the same excuses for not going on the treadmill.

Christ I am sure the man asked about a treadmill not for life coaching session.
Yes he could go running outside for about 3 months of the year when its not pissing down. The op clearly states that the reason he didn't have time to go to the gym is that he was building his house now its almost finished, so guess what he will have time:eek:.

Whats your Budget? If you are into running I would recommend a 2nd hand commercial unit , most home treadmills are rubbish, and be very wary of 2nd hand home units , you don't know the life they have had and most are difficult to get parts for when they give problems (and they will give problems!!)

The reason I dont jog outside is that I have have a very serious knee injury a few years ago, had my ACL done twice and contracted MRSA bug and made bits of the tendon attached onto the knee which was not very pleasent. I found that jogging on the road was giving me huge problems with tendonitisand was told by the surgeon and all the physio's that road running is the worst place for me to run in as is a field when wet as the stability is very bad, therefore sorry for being a bit worried about not wanting to cause anymore damage to myself.
With regards using it enough dont worry about that as the last place I lived in had a treadmill and I averaged about 35 miles a week. I really went to the gym for my rehab for ACL and when that was over I only ever used the treadmill as I had no interest in weights anymore than I had to after the rehab.
I am not one of these people that buy things and leave them to gather dust, trust me this will get used most days, and there will be herself who also like to keep fit.

My budget would be no higher than 600 maybe I could stretch that but not by much.
