    Hey all,

My band Sinister Divide (Myspace) are looking for a second vocalist to fill out our sound. We do a lot of layered vocals, singing over screaming/growling and vocal harmonies etc... so having someone else full time up front is really what we're looking for, especially given that our other members aren't really up to giving powerful backing the way we need. You can hear some rough demos on our Facebook and Myspace pages but we're in the middle of recording an EP at the moment so those tracks will sound a lot different and a lot better when we're done.

We'd primarily like to get a female vocalist who can sing and growl on board for the purposes of widening our vocal range and accenting our sound. We like doing Lamb of God covers and while I (the vocalist) can nail Randy Blythe's voice, and even his high-pitched screams, when it comes to powerful high-pitched clean singing I'm not as powerful as I'd like so when we cover As I Lay Dying, for example, I can hit the low screams no problem but the higher clean melody isn't as powerful as I would like. We primarily do originals and we have a lot of them in store but I mention the covers to give you some scope on our current sound and where we want to go with it.

While our preference is for a female vocalist (the ones who can scream AND sing being few and far between) we will be glad to accept anyone who has a killer set of pipes, male, female or anywhere in-between. I can't stress enough though, you DO need to be able to sing and hold a note. Our preference is slightly more for singing over screaming but being able to scream is just as important given the nature of our music.

We're based in Limerick city but if you can make it to Limerick at least once or twice a week, especially at the weekend then we're cool with that. As I mentioned we're recording at the moment and we already have a few (pretty impressive) gigs under our belt and once we're done recording we plan on hitting up Galway, Cork and Mullingar to name a few so gigs will be had.

We'll be conducting auditions in Limerick over the next few weeks so PM me or message us on Myspace or Facebook and we'll organise a date.

    Peace,
